As our existing clients know, iKoustic never stands still. We are constantly looking at how we can develop our products and processes to ensure that we deliver revolutionary and industry-leading soundproofing solutions to our clients.
Having started a 31 month Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project with the University of Salford focused on delivering and embedding a robust Research and Development process , we have now been exploring new opportunities to work with other academic organisations and are excited to announce a new management knowledge transfer partnership (mKTP) with Leeds Beckett University. This will focus on strategic development, domestically and Internationally as well as the shaping of the organisation to be able to deal with such rapid growth. Transforming the key leadership and management processes, ultimately leading to sustained and controlled long term growth.
Working with students and management experts at Leeds Beckett University, this new two-year mKTP project, which has been part-funded by the Government through Innovate UK, will bring long-term and embedded change to our working culture, organisational processes, and strategic marketing activities.
As Dr Catherine Ashworth, Senior Lecturer in Strategic Marketing at Leeds Beckett explains;
“iKoustic are a micro-business with ambitious plans for growth – and we aim to create a robust platform from which they can achieve their goals and drive strategic change. We will give them practical tools and support to develop and embed the management capabilities that they require which will support sustained growth and new direction in the business.”
As per our current KTP project with the University of Salford, we will be looking for a skilled graduate who will be recruited to carry out the project, employed by Leeds Beckett but acting as a full-time member of the iKoustic team.
This employee will receive support and input from the academic teams at Leeds Beckett. These academics all have extensive experience of working with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on knowledge exchange projects. Bringing with them expertise in strategic marketing and decision-making, human resources, coaching and leadership, supply chain management and more.
This expertise will be pivotal for both our new employee and the business as a whole. Shaping and influencing these areas and product development moving forward. As our Managing Director Rick Parsons explains;
“The powerful combination of academic thinking and organisational strategies, together with the experienced market knowledge and product innovation that iKoustic can bring as a commercial enterprise, all aligned with the fresh perspective and framing that a talented graduate can bring, will be an amazing opportunity for everyone involved.
I am looking forward to seeing our systems and processes challenged and reset to become more efficient and effective – and for strategic marketing to become a fundamental, embedded business activity and not just a book title on a shelf. I can’t wait to get going to see just how much our colleagues are capable of delivering in this new collaborative environment.”
