Soundproof Gym Flooring at Eat Lift Lose

We recently installed Soundproof Gym Flooring at Eat Lift Lose (East London), a London-based gym operating under the Format Fitness group. They are dedicated to arming their members with all the tools they need to achieve their fitness goals – and the results show!

Eat Lift Lose came to us at iKoustic for some advice on reducing the noise created within the gym, this was being created through typical gym activity; weights dropping on the floor, Prowler sleds being pushed across the room, loud music and instructors giving classes. All this combined quickly creates a noisy environment which can then be reflected throughout the gym as well as travel externally to neighboring businesses and shops.

Soundproof Gym Flooring recommendations

iKoustic recommended the gym specific MuteMat range (MuteMat Gym B34, MuteMat USP 17 & MuteMat Gym 32 Tiles) given its protection against both impact transmission and structural borne vibration. Its slip-resistant surface made from 93% recycled rubber makes it an effective and sustainable solution to reduce impact vibration by up to 23dB without any sacrifice on performance or suitability for an environment of this type.

When Eat Lift Lose came to us with their idea, our technical sales advisors helped them each step of the way by specifying the recommended materials to ensure they got the most out of their purchase & were provided with an effective solution that fit their requirements.

The speedy installation carried out by the Indigo Fitness Team took just 3 days to complete. The entire soundproof floor was done in this timeframe resulting in only a small amount of downtime. Routine is important to gym members, avoiding disruption was and always is a huge element when tackling an install of this type.

If you’re a gym that is struggling with noise, don’t worry – you’re not the only ones! iKoustic have been providing gyms with an efficient and effective fit out service for over a decade which is why we developed our Gym Soundproofing Range. We stand for quality and are proud to shout about it.
