What is a MuteMat?
…and why is it so good?
Our MuteMats are specially formed floor soundproofing underlay designed to reduce both airborne and impact vibrations. The mass-loaded visco-elastic layers are able to reflect airborne noise, while a layer of closed-cell foam can flex to dissipate impact vibrations and mitigate the transference of energy into the floor itself.
Installing soundproof flooring to a property can reduce impact noise and quieten sounds such as footsteps in a room. Soundproof flooring can also reduce flanking transmission so that less sound travels from one room into another.
