Acoustic Batten Strip

Our acoustic batten strips are used when constructing a batten floor. These batten strips are made of a dense rubber that can absorb impact noise and prevent large amounts of impact sound from transferring to the room below. To improve both impact and airborne sound for battened floors we recommend upgrading the system with both acoustic batten strips and one of our MuteMatยฎ products.

batten strip roll up

Acoustic batten strips are thin (10mm) strips of rubber that can be attached to battens when constructing an acoustic batten floor. They are stuck to your floor battens to improve the soundproofing capability.

Carefully peel off the paper backing (avoid peeling the adhesive layer) and stick them to your wooden battens. Please make sure your surface is dry and dust and oil-free for proper adhesion.

The Acoustic Batten Strip has a dense and very robust design so it would be unlikely that most general use weights would become an issue, but please do get in contact with our team with any concerns around weights – 01937 588 226.
